Rima I. Ghandour
Professional Experience
Rima specializes in complex construction defect lawsuits, real estate disputes and personal injury claims. In previous years Rima was an attorney in the law office of Robert Dorband where, along with her specialized field, she practiced complex case litigation and coordinated seminars for in-house staff and adjusters. She also gained experience as a contract attorney preparing motions and pleadings for business formation, and probate matters. Rima also practiced for four years in Southern California prior to moving to Oregon. Her practice included complex construction defect lawsuits and representing the Orange County Public Guardian.
Education
Rima earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University. She attained her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law where she graduated in the top percentage of her class. Rima is fluent in Arabic and proficient in French.
Professional Affiliation
Rima is admitted to practice law in Oregon, California and Washington. She is a leadership college fellow in the Oregon State Bar and served on the YLS Professional Development and Education Committee in the Multnomah Bar Association. Additionally, Rima is a member of the Oregon Women Lawyers and has served on several committees. Rima is a member of the Defense Research Institute and has served on the Insurance Committee as the Chair of Female and Minority Subcommittee, and the co-chair of Web Site Subcommittee.
Civic Affiliation
Rima served as the newsletter editor for the National Association of Insurance Women. Rima is also a board member and vice president of the Arab American Culture Center of Oregon and serves on the Arab and Muslim Police Advisory Council.
Personal
Rima enjoys skiing, hiking, travel and being a class mom for her children’s school.
